Choon – Crypto & Tunes
I have just uploaded my back catalog of all my old tracks to a great new music streaming service called “Choon“.

Going forward, I plan to put all my new sounds up there as well – although nearly all of my tracks currently are from my early college days, I do plan on releasing some new content soon!
What is Choon?
The website itself describes it best:
Choon is a music streaming service and digital payments ecosystem—designed to solve the music industry’s most fundamental problems.

Why Choon?
There are problems with the music industry. At a very high level, those problems are:
- Slow payments from existing streaming services – existing music services take forever to pay the artists
- Lack of earnings breakdown – sometimes it’s really just not clear how much you’ve made on a per-stream basis
- Playlist curators – most music services do not offer financial incentives to creating playlists – Choon does!
- Contracts/labels/legal overheads – splitting earnings between members of a group can be painful. Legal contracts have to be drawn up, which add to the cost. All of this “admin” comes at a cost, and each management tier along the way take a cut, meaning the artists earn less and less
- No need to have investments in cryptocurrency – simply signup as an artist, upload your (unsigned) music, and start earning Notes!
- It’s available now! It’s note a pipe-dream like a lot of other blockchain based music services. It’s available right now, and already has an artist community of over 8,000, which is rapidly expanding
